Description

Outdoor recreational enthusiasts come to Mansfield Hollow State Park during all four seasons for activities that range from picnicking, fishing and ice fishing, boating, hiking, and skiing (cross-country). It is also a good place to explore local geological interpretation learn more HERE

The damming of the Natchaug River by the Army Corps of Engineers has created a 500-acre lake for boating and fishing. No swimming is allowed since part of the lake is used for public water supply. Mansfield Hollow was established as a park in 1952.

The Blue (Nipmuck Trail), Blue/White (Fenton Trail), and the Flood Control Levee Trail are foot travel only. The blazed white, yellow and red trail loops as well as several unblazed trails are non-motorized multiuse (mountain biking, equestrian and pedestrian use).
