An accessible boardwalk starting from the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP) Marine Fisheries Headquarters and Boating Division office provides an opportunity to visit the Connecticut River and fringing salt marshes.
At the end of the boardwalk there is a raised viewing platform where visitors can observe nesting osprey in the marshes and boats on Long Island Sound. This is a great spot for marine fishing or crabbing.
This park is managed by the following CT DEEP Park Headquarters:
Take I-95 to exit 70. At light go straight on Halls Road. At the second light, go left on Route 156. Go for 1/2 mile and then turn right on Ferry Road to the end.
Take I-95 over the Connecticut River. Take your first exit (exit 70) and turn right on Route 156. Go for 1/2 mile and then turn right on Ferry Road to the end.
