Sunny Brook State Park offers an easy to moderate network of trails through a mixed hardwood forest with views of the East Branch Naugatuck River.

ALERT: Some Sunny Brook State Park trails and bridges may be closed due to fire damage. Visit the CT DEEP Facebook page for updates. 

Sunny Brook State Park offers a network of trails that maneuver through a beautiful forest of mixed hardwood. This park also offers sights of the streams flowing through and the ponds on the north and south end.

The East Branch Naugatuck River flows through the park. Fishing is allowed in season. This park also offers prime waterfowl hunting in its designated areas.

From Burr Pond State Park

From Burr Pond State Park, turn right on Burr Mountain Road and follow 0.5 mile to Winsted Road. Turn right on Winsted Road for 4.1 miles to Newfield Road. Turn right on Newfield Road and follow 2.4 miles to the park on the left.
