Description

Currently, the so-called Redding Mile is completely off-road and features a 10 ft wide, accessible stone dust surface. The trail is clearly marked by NRVT signs.

This section is a little less than a mile long and takes advantage of an old wood road.  The trail user will see old stone walls as the path meanders through the forest in easy undulating curves and slopes and a nice inventory of native trees. The Redding Mile is planned to connect to the Ridgefield Ramble at Bobby's Court.  Construction of the Ridgefield Ramble is planned for 2025/26.

Once completed, with extensions planned to the north (Danbury) and south (Ridgefield), the Redding section will comprise 5 miles of the NRVT.
