As part of the Woodbridge Greenway, the Racebrook Estates enters from Beecher Road across from the Fitzgerald Track and to the south of Woodside Drive. The Naugatuck Trail, a Blue Blazed trail, winds through residential development within a 28’ corridor, some open space, across Racebrook stream, and to another paved road. The Naugatuck Trail connects with the Historic Indian Trails section of the Greenway by following Pease Road south to the powerlines.
This trail is the result of the open space set-aside by regulations enacted by the Woodbridge Town Plan and Zoning Commission to help protect wetlands, trails, open space, habitat and the environment. The present path keeps the Naugatuck Trail from being broken up or lost through development. The Racebrook Conservation Area, including the Racebrook, is an integral part of this track of land.
On-street parking is available at or near the trail heads located on Beecher Road, Marion Drive, Loise Drive, Pease Road.
