Description

Trails at Dunhamtown Forest connect to Joshua's Trust's Dunham Woods.

Trails follow old logging roads through a mature hardwood forest, past a beautiful rock outcrop, stone walls, foundations, and an old cemetery. You will see views of Dunham Pond, over a wetland boardwalk. A loop trail will take you to an overlook with views of the Willimantic River Valley in the Fall and Winter seasons.

  • Enjoy the park from dawn to dusk.
  • Mountain biking and swimming are not permitted.
  • Keep pets on a leash and clean up after them.
  • Respect private property rights.
  • Stay on the trails. Pack out what you pack in.
  • Consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
  • Do not light fires.
  • Hunting is prohibited.
  • Riding horses is prohibited.
  • Motorized vehicles are prohibited.
  • Removal of any plants is prohibited.

Trailhead Information

From the intersection of Route 275 and Route 32

Head south on Route 32 for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Mansfield City Road. Go 1.3 miles and turn left onto White Oak Road. Go 0.2 miles; parking is on the left.
